  30. A question... in the 3 years you have used PHASAR have you been making a
  31. NEW register file each year?  Or are you still using one you created in
  32. 1993?

  34. Future years usually appears if you try to post a transaction with a date
  35. past the year in which the register was created.  If you haven't been
  36. making a new one each year you should.  Back up phasar.reg and choose the
  37. item "New Year Carryover" under the Setup menu.

  39. The warning about coming close to the maximum number of transactions
  40. (xacts) is because PHASAR lays wout the file ahead of time and fills in
  41. data later.  (Notice that even at the beginning of the year the file is
  42. about as big as it will ever be.)  So as not to waste space you define
  43. the maximum number of transactions that you think are likely to appear in
  44. any one month (or Previous Year or Future Year).  This can be changed.
  45. Back up phasar.reg and choose the "Change Limits" item under the Setup
  46. menu.  The first line should be the one defining the max. no. of xacts.  If
  47. you're approaching 250/mo bump it up to say 300.
  48.  
  49. As far as your specific warning:  perhaps you only forgot to make a new
  50. file for -THIS- year (96).  That's the only reason I can think of for
  51. having about 250 transactions in the Future Year catagory.  There would
  52. have been a lot more if the file was years old!
